Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our upcoming live cohorts, technical bootcamps, hardware requirements, payment verification, and certificates.
What is Core Lab and who are the instructors?
+
Core Lab is a practical, hands-on artificial intelligence education platform founded by FAST University graduates. Our instructors—Muhammad Abdullah and Syeda Munazzah Fatima—hold BS Computer Science degrees from FAST-NUCES and are active researchers in embedded TinyML, multimodal vision-language models, and autonomous AI agents. We focus strictly on real-world implementation, code fluency, and live deployed software.
I have no technical background. Can I still join?
+
Yes! We offer beginner-friendly entry points. The AI From Zero to AI Builder Bootcamp (24–30 October) is designed to take complete beginners step-by-step through prompt engineering, document analysis, no-code web tools, and automated pipelines.
Are sessions conducted live or pre-recorded?
+
All Core Lab bootcamps are delivered 100% live and interactive with the instructors. You can ask questions, debug code in real time, and receive personalized feedback. High-definition recordings of every live session are uploaded to the private student portal within a few hours for lifetime reference.
How do I choose the right program for my learning goals?
+
Follow our clear progression path:
• BEGINNER (24–30 Oct): AI From Zero to AI Builder — for students and professionals seeking a comprehensive end-to-end foundation and 7 completed projects.
• TECHNICAL (Mid-Nov): Data Science & Machine Learning — for aspiring data scientists wanting data cleaning, statistical modeling with Scikit-learn, and Streamlit deployment.
• ADVANCED AI (Late Nov): Generative AI, LLMs & AI Agents — for developers ready to build RAG pipelines, vector search, tool calling, and autonomous multi-agent software.

What is the difference between Regular and Premium tiers?
+
• Regular Tier: Includes live interactive cohort sessions, full day-by-day curriculum, class repositories, interactive Q&A, and the verified Certificate of Completion upon project submission.
• Premium Tier: Includes everything in Regular, plus 1-on-1 mentor code reviews on your capstone repository, personalized resume/LinkedIn portfolio positioning guidance, and priority queue for direct instructor assistance.
• Premium Tier: Includes everything in Regular, plus 1-on-1 mentor code reviews on your capstone repository, personalized resume/LinkedIn portfolio positioning guidance, and priority queue for direct instructor assistance.
Can I enroll in both the Data Science and Generative AI bootcamps?
+
Yes. Live session timings are arranged without schedule conflicts, and all lectures are recorded. Ambitious learners taking both tracks can reach out to admissions on WhatsApp (+92 312 7586251) for dual-enrollment guidance and package pricing.
What computer specifications do I need for technical bootcamps?
+
Any standard laptop running Windows, macOS, or Linux with at least 8GB of RAM and a stable internet connection is sufficient. You do not need a costly dedicated GPU because training and model execution are conducted using Google Colab cloud GPUs and cloud API endpoints.
What software and developer tools will we install?
+
During technical bootcamps, we guide you through setting up Python 3.10+, VS Code, Jupyter notebooks, Git, and a GitHub account. All libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Streamlit, LangChain, n8n) are installed together during live class setup sessions.
What prerequisites are needed for Data Science & Machine Learning?
+
Basic logical thinking and an interest in working with data and code. Day 1 starts with a Python refresher tailored for data analysis. You do not need an advanced mathematics or statistics degree; foundational concepts are taught through practical application.
What prerequisites are needed for Generative AI, LLMs & AI Agents?
+
Basic familiarity with Python syntax (variables, functions, loops, dictionaries). You will learn LLM prompting, API integration, vector embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and autonomous agent loops from the ground up.
How do I confirm my registration and payment in Pakistan?
+
For the Zero to AI Builder program, you can register directly via the official Google Form provided on its course page or via the registration portal. For the Technical Bootcamps (Data Science & GenAI), registration is handled directly via WhatsApp (+92 312 7586251). We accept online bank transfers, JazzCash, and Easypaisa.
How quickly is my seat verified after payment?
+
Once you share your payment confirmation slip via WhatsApp, our admissions team verifies it within a few hours and issues your official welcome packet and invitation to the private cohort WhatsApp community.
Are there early bird discounts available?
+
Yes. The Data Science & ML Bootcamp and Generative AI Bootcamp both offer an Early Bird tuition fee of PKR 10,000 (regular PKR 12,000) for the first 10 confirmed registrations per cohort.
How does the Core Lab Certificate verification work?
+
Every Core Lab certificate is issued only upon successful submission and mentor review of required hands-on capstone projects. Signed directly by FAST University alumni instructors, it includes verifiable credentials confirming the practical software and models you built during the cohort.
Can I add my certificate and projects to LinkedIn and my resume?
+
Absolutely. Because our bootcamps culminate in live GitHub repositories, public web applications, or published content packs, you can link directly to your working deliverables on LinkedIn, GitHub, and your professional CV.
